Position Purpose:  To support the various system application needs of the organization by developing and understanding functional requirements, creating and modifying programs, dashboards, reports, objects, and data integration within the ERP system, SalesForce and numerous .NET applications. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support all end users by helping solve problems, programming new functionality, and providing training as needed.

  • Support and maintain numerous business systems and applications including the Lab Information Management System

  • Develop .NET programming.

  • Facilitate custom integration between business systems.

  • Design, develop and test software applications from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards.

  • Write or revise program documentation, operations documentation and guides for users in accordance with standards.

  • Interact with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data and make recommendations for improvement or enhancement to processes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Programming or the equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • 5+ years of programming experience.

  • Microsoft IIS and SharePoint experience.

  • Microsoft SQL Server experience.

  • Microsoft certifications are a plus – MCSD preferred.

  • SalesForce experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluent in at least one object oriented programming language (Visual Basic, C++, C#, etc.).

  • Familiar with relational database design.

  • Knowledge of business systems and processes (Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, etc.).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, which includes meeting deadlines, punctuality and excellent follow-through and feedback.

  • Must display a high level of integrity and initiative and the ability to work independently.

  • Possess creativity - ability to problem-solve, improvise and think outside of the box to help improve processes and quality of work.

  • Ability to work with end-users and clients in a friendly supportive manner with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Desire and ability to be a continuous learner, staying abreast of current technologies and their potential business applications.
