The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting (sourcing through creative methods—internal and external, screening, interviewing and recommending placement of applicants), in order to meet departmental hiring needs. The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for ensuring an efficient and positive hiring/on-boarding process.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partners with Human Resources staff and managers to determine organizational hiring needs.

  • Sources qualified candidates through all available methods, including, but not limited to, through an established network (including contacts at high schools, colleges and career centers/trade schools), social media, cold calling, attendance at job fairs (online and in-person), community networking events, and job postings (online and otherwise)

  • Evaluates candidate applications and resumes, and performs in-person and telephone interviews.

  • Coordinates appropriate assessments for candidates.

  • Completes references and background checks.

  • Schedules interviews with appropriate organizational stakeholders.

  • Makes recommendations related to hiring.

  • Serves as primary point of contact for candidate during recruitment process, including responding promptly to inquiries, managing expectations and notifying all applicants once a requisition is filled.

  • Delivers written and verbal offers of employment (including communication of important information – e.g. benefits, compensation, etc.), and in collaboration with Human Resources staff, coordinates completion of pre-hire requisites.

  • Follows up with selected candidates and organizational stakeholders to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.

  • In collaboration with staff in the Communications group and/or an outside marketing firm, develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility to potential candidates.

  • Manages employee referral program.

  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening and scheduling of interviews with appropriate organizational stakeholders.

  • Stays current on the Company’s structure, policies and processes, and on federal, state and local laws regarding employment practices.

  • Manages retention of candidate information.

  • Serves as primary contact for temp. agencies

  • Performs other duties as assigned

     

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES:

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field, and demonstrated experience and success in a recruiting role required. Human Resources and/or Recruiting certification(s) are preferred, as is at least two years’ experience in recruiting for manufacturing roles. Must have an excellent track record of sourcing and qualifying candidates for a broad variety of positions (from entry-level to executive level), enthusiasm for frequent cold-calling and other outreach, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exceptional written and verbal communications skills, exemplary ethics and integrity, ability to maintain confidential information, ability to self-start, service-orientated personality, and dedication to continuous improvement in support of the Company’s core values
