Hartville Hardware is in need of a dynamic individual to fill a full-time position as merchandise manager for our kitchen, bath, flooring and home decor areas.
Desired skill sets include expertise in business processes and etiquette, analytical abilities (creativity and strategic thought processes), the ability to grow and develop relationships with co-workers and vendors, a level of inherent understanding of interior design concepts and fashion sense, a willingness to be open to new ideas and products, as well as excellent project management skills for renovating the kitchen and bath showroom.
The successful candidate will also have negotiation skills to appropriately decide what lines to purchase, keeping in mind both pricing and rebate programs.
Excellent and competent computer skills are a must for this position.
Our preferred candidate will have customer service skills, problem-solving ability, act as a team player and be able to communicate effectively.
