FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE JOB COACH
Work side by side with participant at job site teaching specific job skills, job safety and appropriate work behaviors to be successful on the job. Maintain a good working relationship with participant, work site supervisor and co-workers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Learn the requirements and responsibilities of the job; develop a task analysis, perform job tasks as needed and keep Supervisor abreast of all events.
Observe and identify socialization patterns of the work place. Assist participant to become acclimated to work environment.
Modify and/or adapt job to accommodate participant’s needs with job site supervisor’s approval.
To help identify and resolve any potential issues the participant and employer may have in meeting the requirements of the job.
Maintain department records by keeping accurate daily documentation of time worked with participant along with detailed progress notes/reports to be submitted in a timely manner.
Attend all staffings and interdepartmental meetings as required.
Ensure compliance with agency practices, policies, procedures, CARF Standards and safety/security measures.
Conduct community based assessments and complete required reporting.
Provide participant with travel training as needed.
Identify individual needs best met by other community resources and make appropriate referrals through the social service department.
Maintain participant confidentiality in compliance with Operating Standards
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business or a vocationally oriented field preferred; or a high school diploma, plus a minimum of two years experience training persons with disabilities at community-based job sites. Ability to sign desirable.
A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
HOURS: No set schedule and no set hours, flexibility is required.
