Summary
Formulate ingredients and initiate pretzel processing. Perform analysis to ensure product is safe and of good quality. Run equipment to achieve optimal efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize equipment
Clean bakery
Change extrusion heads
Formulate ingredients
Monitor quality of product
o Perform multiple quality checks on determined schedule, evaluating parameters such as dough moisture, caustic, salt, moisture, and temperature.
Operator doughbot, AZO flour system and other bakery equipment
Operate Oven, Kiln, Cooker and other oven equipment
Monitor metal detection system as needed
Work to the discretion of the Production Manager
Other duties may include but are not limited to: painting, cleaning, running floor scrubber, removing trash from area, assist in packaging operation, forklift operation, etc.
This is a very high-paced position. A mechanical aptitude is necessary. The Baker will be responsible for performing some preventive maintenance on the equipment. The ideal candidate will be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
Essential Requirements
Repetitive standing, walking, stooping, reaching.
Lifting up to 85 pounds.
Work weekends and overtime as needed.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Quality mindset with keen attention to detail.
