Provide assistance to timely processing of fiscal information in the support of the agency’s mission. The position works primary doing accounting functions for each of the three entities (ICAN Inc. Park Place of Alliance and ICAN Garden Apartments)

1. Accounts Payable:
o Verify details of agency transactions, including receipts, invoices and              checks/EFT (Electronic Fund Transfers)
o Maintain the Accounts Payable electronic vendors, W-9 and EFT                      notifications.
o Maintain the Vendor payment files (Matching check stubs with                       invoices.)
o Learn to review and understand general ledger coding
2. Bank Reconciliations:
o Reconcile all bank accounts for each of the entities
o Work with the Manager of Grant Accounting to ensure all items are                posted monthly before the accounting month is closed
3. Responsible for processing monthly rent subsidies and utility allowances:
o Includes maintaining the master files and uploading data to the                      accounting system
o Perform the functions (in EZ Claim and SmartCare) required to have              ICAN reimbursed by StarkMHAR. This includes reconciling actual                 payments with uploaded billing claims
4. Processing of supply purchases (Staples on-line ordering)
5. Assist with annual audit, capital projects and grant audits
6. Other duties as assigned.


Education, Training, and/or Experience
1. AA in accounting or related experience
2. Experience in the areas of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, Excel and Word

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current and valid Driver License, automobile insurance and access to a vehicle

2. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid               conclusions.
3. Proficient with use of work processing and spreadsheet applications
4. Detail orientated with an ability to meet deadlines
5. Willingness to learn new systems and agency activities
