Role Summary: Sets up and operates thermal brazing equipment which mechanically bonds components of fabricated metal products as specified by work orders, blueprints, and data charts. The employee utilizes torches and tips, braze alloy rod, and flux to perform the brazing operation according to customer requirements/specifications.

Background Profile:
• Aligns and clamps product to lift table
• Verifies and Fills containers as needed with flux or manually brushes flux onto seams of workpieces
• Positions preformed pieces of braze alloy along seams of workpiece, or manually applies alloy to seams during brazing
• Connects hoses from oxygen and fuel gas cylinders to regulator valves and torches
• Turns valves to start flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts mixture to obtain flame of desired size and color
• Manually brazes connections as defined by company documentation of customer drawings/blueprints.
• Removes product and visually examines finished pieces for defective seams
• Perform leak test on all coils
