Description

The Construction Lineman Laborer position is a full-time position that will provide physical support for the team that constructs overhead fiber optic cables, coax cables, and strand. Must be a team player able to work in adverse conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, the Construction Lineman Laborer has primary responsibility to:

• Set up equipment at job site; load/unload and pack/unpack tools and equipment
• Monitor cable spools for proper unwinding and communicate with crew
• Identify and retrieve proper tools for crew
• Perform physical labor as requested (dig with shovel, pull lashers, etc.)

The Construction Lineman Laborer must successfully utilize the following tools/equipment in order to complete their responsibilities:

• Tools such as drills, lashers, and various hand tools
• Knowledge of bucket truck operations
• Physical requirements - Carry and setup ladder, Lift 80+ pounds, be able to work at heights of 40+ feet, perform duties outdoors in any type of weather, working in tight spaces with various temperatures (crawl space, attic, etc.)

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must successfully complete background check and drug test
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 100 lbs
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet
• Ability to multi-task with a variety of systems, tools, customers and co-workers
• Must be a hard worker with good attendance
• Some experience working in all weather conditions preferred
