Position: Construction Project Lead

Employment status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

This position reports to: Construction Director

About this position: This position will assist in performing all field aspects of construction projects which includes complete home renovation and critical home repairs.

Education and Experience: 1 year of home construction experience and an understanding of basic construction methods and materials is strongly preferred

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration: A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with project managers on new construction, preserve-a-home, critical home repair, and deconstruction projects
  • Work closely with sub-contractors
  • Work with and teach unskilled volunteers
  • Keep worksites clean
  • Help to deliver materials to and from the worksites
  • Fill in wherever needed around the ministry
  • Be a positive representative for the Habitat ministry
  • May be required to perform duties within other departments like devotions, events, and working with various groups

Physical Demands: The Construction Project Lead must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. and have the ability to spend the majority of the day moving. Work may require bending, kneeling, navigating steps, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions.
