It’s more than just crunching numbers.  As a Consumer Loan Officer, you will work with members to build relationships by learning about their financial history, understanding their needs and advocating for them. You will have the unique ability to look beyond a credit score, placing value on individual circumstances, and help our members achieve their financial dreams. 

Your day might include: 

• Completing the full loan application process. This may include interviewing members in person or by phone, preparing documents and analyzing data to underwrite loans according to policy.
• Contacting members to collect and verify information well as placing follow-up calls.

• Recommending financial products and services as appropriate to serve member needs.
• Working with a Windows PC and utilizing multiple web-based applications.

What you must bring to the team: 

• One (1) year minimum experience in a credit union or other relative financial institution.
• Prior loan underwriting experience is strongly preferred.  
• Sharing of our values to serve the Stark County community
• Must be:
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Positive, friendly and approachable
  • Good at identifying and solving problems
  • An effective listener with great communication and customer service skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in an ever-changing environment.
• Solid time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
