JOB DESCRIPTION 

Summary/Objective

The Employee Relations Administrator is tasked with delivering an integrated experience that unleashes team members’ energy and potential throughout their SARTA careers. This position offers both operational and creative support to the HR team and others, supporting communication and events that are people-centered while helping the organization meet its objectives of connection, collaboration, and ultimately employee engagement. This position manages the EEO program and fully complies with Equal Employment Opportunity laws.  This position understands and applies ethical values, complying with HIPAA laws, and maintains high levels of confidentiality.

Essential Functions

  • Engages employees to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence through activities and events (e.g., verbal and written communications, electronic screen messaging, employee events, campaigns, and employee recognitions).
  • Ensures compliance of Equal Employment Opportunity federal laws, along with company policy and produces EEO-4 reporting and EEO program updates as required.
  • Support SARTA in the creation, communication, and ongoing maintenance of our employee engagement activities to continually drive positive employee experiences.
  • Coordinates wellness program for all employees and encourages employees to participate.
  • Organizes and executes departmental climate surveys/focus groups/round tables and provides analysis and appropriate recommendations to management.
  • Assists with both new hire interviews as well as exit interviews to ensure appropriate levels of engagement throughout the entirety of the employment life cycle.
  • Creates and distributes internal communications to increase employee relationships, awareness, and engagement to sustain a healthy and diverse employee culture.
  • Drive a listening culture and build feedback mechanisms into employee engagement activities and internal communications to enable employees to have an opportunity for dialogue.
  • Processes, reconciles, and distributes uniform orders and maintains internal inventory.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, analyze organizational issues, and work in partnership with leadership to develop and execute plans to address problem areas.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.  This position will also work one day per week 5:00am – 1:00pm.

Travel

  • Rare overnight travel may be necessary to attend educational and professional development events.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • Two years’ experience in Employee Relations, Equal Employment Opportunity, Human Resources, or Management.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license from state of residence and a good driving record.
