Full or Part-Time Evening Cleaning Crew Supervisor

 About the position:  Quality and cleanliness are hallmarks of the Hartville Kitchen.  The person who leads the team that makes sure that doesn’t change is the Evening Cleaning Crew Supervisor.  These team members are rarely seen in person, but our customers see the results of their attention to detail.  Clean dishes, well swept carpets and dust free surfaces are all clues that the evening cleaning crew has been around.  Their fellow employees also see the fruit of their labors as they start each day with equipment and utensils that are spotless and ready for action.  If you have a passion for order and a sparkling work environment, join our great team of hidden gems.

 Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all evening cleaning employees ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Train new employees
  • Guide the washing of dishes, glassware, flatware, etc.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and/or utensils in a clean and orderly condition
  • Run the floor scrubber throughout the kitchen area
  • Following banquets, make sure tables are bussed and all dishes have been removed for cleaning
  • Check security of building doors after closing
  • Inspect building to ensure lights are off, entrances are locked and building is clear before setting alarm
  • Attend all food safety and professional development classes as scheduled

 Essential Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or GED
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Experience supervising others is a plus
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to build a great team and hold individuals accountable
