The Corporation of Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a $24 million non-profit organization providing services and programs to improve the lives of the low-income residents in Appalachian Ohio. COAD is seeking to hire a dynamic Executive Director (ED) with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of senior management experience to build a goal-oriented infrastructure, strong communication systems and a positive working relationship amongst 51 Board of Directors from 17 Community Action Agencies, and over 65 COAD employees. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Social Services, and/or related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience and relevant certifications/licenses, a plus. Must have strong people skills with proven success working with Board of Directors cultivating membership relationships; a proven track record of effectively leading strong legislative advocacy at all levels and public relations work. Excellent organizational management skills to develop high-performance teams in a culturally inclusive environment to achieve quality projects with outcomes-based data. Expertise required for oversight and management of finance department functions, fundraising, and economic development for Appalachian counties in Ohio. Must be a strong communicator, action-oriented, team builder, with an innovative approach to business planning. Requirements: Applicant chosen will be required to establish residency in the region within 1 year of being hired. A clean background check, drug test, and an insurable driver’s license for local and out of town travel are required.
