INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SUPPORT TECHINICIAN
Gregory Industries, a reputable longstanding Canton company, has an excellent opportunity for a well-organized, dependable, career-oriented person in our Information Technology (IT) Department. The ideal candidate must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and above and Microsoft Office products, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and be customer service oriented.
The IT Support Technician will troubleshoot hardware and software issues associated with workstations, peripherals, enterprise applications, servers, network appliances and telecom equipment. The technician will also take steps to minimize business interruption and computer downtime to within established time limits. They will participate in Disaster Recovery efforts, document all work performed within the IT Helpdesk System for use in the company knowledge base, perform project work when required, augment user training with informal, at-desk reinforcement while support work is being performed, maintain accurate inventory of information technology equipment and software, and be available for on-call duty after hours according to the established rotation schedule.
The normal work schedule will be 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
