Position Purpose: Provide information on credit union products and services to members in accordance with credit union policies and procedures and State and Federal rules and regulations. Responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for loans and processing various loan applications. Gather background information and analyze loan applicants’ credit history. Approve or deny loan applications based on analysis. This position requires a great attitude and out-going personality with a high degree of precision and competence.  Must be proficient in loan originations through closings.  

Credit Union seeks a talented individual for the position of Loan Officer.  The individual sought will be responsible for interviewing members, processing loan requests, making loan decisions and completing the process by preparing loan documents and closing the transaction. Credit union background highly preferred.  Candidates for this position will possess experience with real estate loans (1st and 2nd mortgages, HELOC, property improvement) along with installment loans (new and used auto, signature, credit card, etc.). This is a full-time position where candidates must have a strong organizational background as well as a can-do attitude. This is a fast-paced position for a strong professional candidate.  

Qualified applicants must present a professional appearance, have good credit, and be bondable.  Minimum High School Graduate – some college preferred.  Must be computer literate.  Ability to comprehend and follow credit union guidelines and policies. Strong communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will also value a high degree of accuracy. Ideal candidate should have five or more years of related experience in a financial institution. Must exercise good decision-making ability.  Must demonstrate good people-skills, have pleasant personality, and be a team player.
