A local Nursing home is looking for an LPN to become part of their team. They offer a well kept working environment and helpful staff. Staff only have to work every other weekend and 3 days per week. If you have 1 year of experience or more you will start out at a competitive wage of $19.80 an hour please an additional .50 cents per hour for working night shift and an additional .30 cents per hour for weekend work.

This candidate works closely with the Director of Nursing, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Social Services Director, and other nursing personnel in order to effectively provide nursing care to those patients entrusted in their care.

DUTIES:
Will do patient admissions
responsible for all medication pass and related documentation.
Conduct overall physical examination of patient when needed
Document findings and establish the facility chart of the patient.
Updates physician on current admission status, any skin issues and confirms orders.
Conduct any follow-up appointments and place on the calendar at nursing station.
Arranges for transportation including communication with power-of-attorney, or other family representative.
Places lab work and any other testing on calendar at nursing station.
Administers Mantoux test and arranges for follow-up documentation.
Informs therapy department of any ordered therapies.
Contacts facility pharmacy provider and communicates orders for the patient.
Provides the dietary department with dietary order sheet on new patients.
May assist the Quality Assurance nurse.

Other Duties
Communicates with Physicians on change of condition.
Receives new orders and enters into electronic medical system.
Communicates with families on change of condition, new orders, or other matters.
Point person to answer incoming calls during the shift when available.
Administers treatments and attaining vitals on patients.
