Pathway is seeking a Maintenance Specialist who will work part-time and is responsible for the overall, safe operation of all Pathway owned/non-owned properties and all Pathway owned vehicles.  This person will report to the Quality and Compliance Director. Responsibilities of this position will include completing all maintenance requests submitted by staff, maintaining electronic maintenance requests submitted by staff, maintaining electronic maintenance log of all work done, overseeing and interfacing with landlords, maintenance departments or other service providers responsible for electronic system, plumbing, security system, and HVAC system.  Scheduling and ensuring compliance with annual fire, backflow, fire extinguisher, sprinkler, and other inspections necessary for licensure and accreditation. Attends and represents Pathway at monthly Stark County Safety Council meetings, oversees the safety/maintenance of all Pathway owned vehicles and maintains an electronic vehicle maintenance log to document vehicle checks and repairs. Acts as point of contact for security/alarm issues. When necessary is responsible for major improvements/projects by making recommendations, determining costs estimates, overseeing the purchase of supplies and maintaining improvement by supervising, assisting and/or personally completing project.  Assists in the development and maintenance of facility disaster recovery planning in consultation with Quality and Compliance Director.

The successful applicant for this position should have a minimum of a high school diploma; knowledge of facilities management and be capable of completing common maintenance tasks typical of an office environment, possess and be able to use his/her own and/or Pathway tools on the job.  The applicant shall have a driver’s license and must be able to be insured under agency policy, and a vehicle, preferably capable of transporting tools and office equipment, which is safely maintained. Possess basic computer skills. This person must meet the background screening as defined in OAC code 5101:2-5-09.  This person must also demonstrate sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children and families served by Pathway.
