We are looking for a Materials Testing Technician  to join our construction services team in our Canton, OH office location.  If you are someone that thrives in a fast-paced work environment and looks at tasks with a “can-do” attitude, then check out the job duties below.

  • Sampling, testing, and inspecting:
    • Concrete
    • Grout
    • Masonry
    • Soils
    • Aggregate
    • Asphalt
  • Observe, document, and maintain accurate records of field activities, tests, and procedures.
  • Complete and submit thorough daily reports and Job Hazard Analysis forms
  • Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Communicating with contractors, owners, and project managers.
  • Notify supervisor or Project Manager immediately of problems and deviations from plans and specifications.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Certification, or the ability to obtain.
  • NETTCP Soils and Aggregate Inspector Certification preferred.
  • ODOT Prequalified Soils and Aggregate Inspector preferred.
  • Possesses a basic knowledge of mathematics.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Possess the ability to walk over rugged terrain and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Possess the ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Possess the ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.
