Pharmacy Technician-Medication Reconciliation-Part Time-Benefits Eligible

Wooster Community Hospital is an independent, medium sized community hospital proud to have been named a 7-time IBM/Watson Top Hospital. We are adding 2 additional part time team members to our Pharmacy Team to better serve our patients. These positions are two 12 hour shifts per week.

These dynamic positions will be embedded in the hospital’s Emergency Department and will work with patients at the bedside performing the following duties

• Accurately collect and enter patient medications into the electronic health record 
• Relay issues to the pharmacist and/or physician
• Process discharge prescriptions for ED patients & and other areas using the Retail Pharmacy Computer System. 
• Performs limited medication management& distribution functions under the direction of the pharmacist.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience; retail pharmacy technician experience preferred
