The President & CEO is the leader of the organization, establishing a vision for Community Impact that is achieved through the efforts of a diverse team of high-performing leaders, staff, and volunteer alike. This position leverages the power of relationships and networks, and works across private, public, and corporate sectors to improve conditions in the community. 

The President & CEO possesses a high level of broad business and management skills and is effective at generating resources and financial support for the organization. This position supervises a leadership team comprised of Finance, Resource Development, Community Impact, Marketing and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

The President & CEO is dedicated to shared and measurable goals for the common good – creating, resourcing, scaling, and leveraging strategies for broad investment and impact. This position is the steward of the United Way brand building trust in United Way and its relevance in the community.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, communications or related field, or equivalent experience. Fifteen plus years’ experience in human services or related field of which 5 years plus extensive experience in the leadership and management of organizations of comparable size and mission. Proven experience working with the business community, public sector, media, and community-based organizations preferably non-profit. The applicant must have a strong background in resource development, policy development, organizing diverse constituencies and public presentations. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required.

As a proven leader, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic community builder who has utilized volunteer resources, management skills, communication skills, and ability to negotiate, collaborate and foster inclusiveness among a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds is essential.
