Role Summary: This position is designed to provide safety training to all new hires as well as on-going training to our current staff to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all members of our staff. In addition to the safety training, this role will also include a training component as it relates to coordinating the on-boarding of new employees, continued training for current employee development and the monitoring of training needs in the organization. This individual should be able to design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.

Background Profile:
• It is strongly preferred that you possess a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or a similar business related degree.
• You should possess at least five years of experience with at least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous background with inspecting a manufacturing facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
• You should have a strong background implementing inspection policies and procedures, and creating a schedule of routine inspections.
• Ideally you have previous experience with monitoring OSHA requirements and works to ensure the company is compliant in all areas while ensuring that all material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Previous experience maintaining records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required and performing other related duties as assigned.
• You will be required to help create training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
• Previous experience ensuring that all training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
• Should be up to date new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
• Experience Identifying problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
• Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
