Description

Stable, supportive, and growing manufacturing company is looking for a Spare Parts Assistant Manager. Primary responsibilities include direction and overseeing of Spare Part Sales’ policies, objectives and initiatives. Set short-term and long-term strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current Sales programs. Candidate must be familiar with a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures. Ideal candidate will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, as well as lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The successful candidate will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. Some project management work may be required.

Candidate must possess strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to read engineered drawings, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field

10+ years B2B manufacturing / sales experience

4+ years in leadership sales position

Track record of superior performance metrics

Excellent negotiation skills

Strong decision making abilities

Able to travel as required to trade shows and /or sales calls

Project management experience a plus
