Description
DUTIES (include but not limited to the following):
- Provides developmental evaluations and assessments to determine Part C eligibility and service needs
- Works cooperatively with team members in developing the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Plans and implements evidence-based early intervention services to eligible infants and toddlers and their families within natural environments using a coaching interaction style
- Participates as a member of the trans-disciplinary team and serves as the Primary Service Provider (PSP) or Secondary Service Provider (SSP) as appropriate
- Attends weekly EI Team meetings and in-service trainings as requested or required
- Provides and maintains documentation and paperwork in compliance with DODD rules and regulations
- Works cooperatively with the Early Intervention Services Coordinator in transitioning children from Early Intervention to Early Childhood services
- Participates in inter-agency meetings, public relations, and special projects as it relates to early intervention
- Performs other related duties as required
- QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to the following):
- Must hold and maintain current and valid Ohio Speech/Language Pathologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Must hold and maintain a current, valid driver’s license
- Must acquire and maintain Board approved first aid and CPR certification
- Must pass BCI/FBI background check
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information/records
- Any other training as required by the Ohio DODD or county board policy
- Strong knowledge of infant/toddler growth and development, family dynamics, disabilities and risk factors, trans-disciplinary teaming, and intervention program planning
- Knowledge of evidence-based early intervention practices (EIEBP) and a primary service provider approach(PSP) to teaming and intervention
- Knowledge of Part C rules and regulations related to Early Intervention
- Experience conducting developmental evaluations and assessments
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of Individualized Family Service Plans
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written form
- Ability to work cooperatively with both families and other professionals
SALARY: As per CBA
HOURS: 40 hours/week, variable and flexible on program needs
