Technician Maintenance – Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs general maintenance repairs, inspections, and tests.

• Maintains plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, fire alarm, machinery, and equipment, building structural and hardware systems.
•  Inspects, tests, and repairs assigned equipment in compliance with the preventative maintenance system.
• Provides appropriate record-keeping and documentation, including computerized records.
• Acquires and utilizes a working knowledge of the building automation systems.
• Answers repair calls and make expeditious repairs.
• Performs maintenance duties unable to be completed during the traditional workday during evening and weekend hours as necessary.
• On-call for emergencies and start-ups as assigned.
• Takes emergency measures where necessary to maintain service and provide for a continuing safe operating environment.
• Coordinates work assignments with other departments and staff.
• Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certifications/licensures.
• Performs all service in a manner that will place the patients first and in a cost-effective, high-quality manner. 
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1.   High School/Vocational School Graduate or Equivalent
2.   Formal training in electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, or other major building trade preferred.
3.   Ability to work independently, follow complex job instructions, including the interpretation of documentation, 

       blueprints, and equipment manuals, as well as, prioritize work.

1.   Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, stand, see, read and hear.
2.   Must have and maintain a valid State of OH Driver’s License.
3.   Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to work well with others projecting a positive image for the Hospital.
4.   Excellent communication, organizational, and detail skills.
5.   Ability to remain calm and function well in stressful situations.
