Description
Technician Maintenance – Full Time
- Performs general maintenance repairs, inspections, and tests.
- Maintains plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, fire alarm, machinery and equipment, building structural and hardware systems.
- Inspects, tests, and repairs assigned equipment in compliance with the preventative maintenance system.
- Provides appropriate record keeping and documentation, including computerized records.
- Acquires and utilizes working knowledge of the building automation systems.
- Answers repair calls and makes expeditious repairs.
- Performs maintenance duties unable to be completed during the traditional workday during evening and weekend hours as necessary.
- On-call for emergencies and start-ups as assigned.
- Takes emergency measures where necessary to maintain service and provide for continuing safe operating environment.
- Coordinates work assignments with other departments and staff.
- Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certifications/licensures.
- Performs all service in a manner that will place the patients first and in a cost effective, high quality manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School/Vocational School Graduate or Equivalent
- Formal training in electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, or other major building trade preferred.
- Ability to work independently, follow complex job instructions, including the interpretation of documentation, blueprints, and equipment manuals, as well as, prioritize work.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, stand, see, read and hear.
- Must have and maintain a valid State of OH Driver’s License.
- Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to work well with others projecting a positive image for the Hospital.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and detail skills.
- Ability to remain calm and function well in stressful situations.
