Description

The position is for a MIG welder & general labor, meaning the candidate would weld as needed and then be rotated through various work centers in the shop based on shop need and employee ability.  Candidate should expect to not always be working in the same area week to week.  Nor should the candidate expect to be welding all the time.  Candidate MUST know how to weld and will be given a welding test to assess their ability.  Certifications are not required for hire.  After the candidate is hired they will be given a 1” groove weld test in the flat position to qualify them for specific projects.  The candidate will have an opportunity to practice this weld test ahead of time.

 

Hours are from 8:00am – 4:30pm.  There are currently 3 paid breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch.  We offer paid holidays, vacation, health & dental insurance (80% company/20% employee paid), 401k and uniforms; each after the respective time periods has been met. Steel toe boots are required (not provided), employer will supply all other required personal protective equipment.

 

Starting pay rate is $14.00/hour with a $.50/hour increase if you pass the 90 day probationary review.  Candidate will also receive a $1.00/hour increase after passing the 1” groove weld test in the flat position.
