Welding Technology Adjunct Instructor (ODYS)
Stark State College
Position Summary:
Stark State College is seeking instructors to teach welding courses within the Ohio Department of Youth Services Juvenile Correctional facilities located in their Circleville, Cuyahoga Hills, and Indian River (Massillon) locations to include instruction in safety, preparation, cutting, and joining similar and dissimilar metals by welding using gas or electrical processes. Oxygen/acetylene and AC/DC electric are the major techniques used. Additional requirements are development of course syllabi, lessons, assignments, tests and the grading of assignments.
Full-Time / Part-Time: Part-Time
Work Hours: Day
Education Requirements:
College degree preferred.
Experience/Qualifications Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Five years’ field experience in fabricating and welding required. Good communication and presentation skills required. Experience and/or certification with specialty metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium are a plus.
Licensure or Certification Requirements:
A valid CWI and/or AWS 3G and/or 6G certified.
