Responsibilities:
- Have knowledge with different asphalt mixes and temperatures for proper compaction patterns.
- Must assist crew in preparing work site for paving.
- Prepare equipment each day (inspection, check fluids, grease, fill up with water and fuel, etc.)
- Have the familiarity with all of the paving tools (lutes, rakes, shovels, etc.)

Skills:

-Must have  knowledge of proper joint and edge compaction.

- Knowledge of safety for the crews, yourself and others.
- Awareness of the jobsite sequence of the paving operation and the work zone.
- Must have a valid drivers license.

-Work will include long hours in outdoor conditions with the possibility of night and Saturday work.

Education and Experience:

-Must have experience with operating a Asphalt roller.

-High School Diploma or GED

-Must be in the Operator's Union or willing to join.
